WASHINGTON, Oct. 12 /PRNewswire -- Watson Wyatt Worldwide, a leading global consulting firm, announced today its intention to acquire Oakbridge Consulting Group, a HR consulting firm based in Sweden. The acquisition will strengthen Watson Wyatt's strategic reward consulting capabilities in the Nordic region.
Oakbridge Consulting was founded by former Watson Wyatt consultant Magnus Drogell in 2004 and focuses on delivering services to clients in the areas of HR and pay strategy, performance management, salary structures, job evaluation and employment surveys.
The integration of Oakbridge into Watson Wyatt's Stockholm-based HR consulting business will result in Watson Wyatt having the largest salary database of professional roles in the Nordic region, with over 400 clients.
"Oakbridge has an excellent reputation in the marketplace for delivering outstanding service," said Arne Genschou, managing consultant of Watson Wyatt in Stockholm. "This acquisition will enable us to strengthen and broaden our consulting capabilities in the region, enhancing the services we already offer to the large number of Swedish-based global and international companies we are advising in all areas of reward and benefits consulting."
"We have been very successful in building up a HR and pay strategy business, but we've reached the point where our growth is limited by not being part of an extensive international network," said Magnus Drogell, founder and managing director of Oakbridge Consulting. "Becoming part of Watson Wyatt not only provides the international credentials expected by global companies based in the Nordic region, but enables us to offer to existing Oakbridge clients Watson Wyatt's high-quality global services."
Watson Wyatt's Stockholm office is the Nordic headquarters for the global consulting firm. It has an established reputation for providing reward, compensation and benefits consulting services to global and international organizations based in the region.
